Anonymous and broad-based servanthood is the foundation upon which the support for the Northern Colorado Emmaus Community's 3-Day events is based. The Board of Directors, in accordance with our covenental relationship with the Upper Room's Walk To Emmaus, has designed a system of support for its Walks that allows a large number of Community Members to get involved and contribute to their success.
The weekend has been divided into numerous "service time slots" on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The number of members of the Emmaus Community who could potentially get involved in helping with the behind-the-scenes work in support of the live-in Walk Team and pilgrims is huge. Of course, volunteers can also work multiple blocks of time if they wish. Volunteers will come for the hours they can help and leave when their blocks of time are completed.
Three live-in team positions have been created by the Board of Directors for every Walk Team: one Director of Support and two assistant directors of support. The Director of Support for We are now busy filling the support slots for the upcoming Walks. If you would like to be part of the community support for these Walks, you should sign up online at the signup page, then select the walk you want to help out with, and the "Support Team" button.
Also, if you are interested in helping to prepare food for upcoming walks, please sign up online at the signup page, then select the walk you want to help out with, and the "Kitchen Team" button.
Remember the following guidelines for support work:
This system of support for the Northern Colorado Emmaus Community's 3-Day events will give many more Community members the opportunity to participate. If you would like to work one or more time blocks for the upcoming walks, please sign up online as outlined above. Thank you and God bless!
